This is the core of our congregation in Puerto Morelos.
Our first get together in Tim and Sues house

 Our first Congregation beach party!!
This is the Spanish and English in Puerto Morelos at the beach!
We are playing a game where you form a circle,
two people holding hands walk around one direction and if they try to break through your hands in the circle the two in the circle must run the other direction to try to beat the first couple back to the empty spot, very physical!!

My Kitty project!

We got this kitty on the road outside Tulum,  He was very rough,  just widdled by hand,  we got some sand paper and I have been softening his growl.

He is Very beautiful, pictures just dont do him justice, I will post pictures of him after I finish him and he is glossy.

dont ask how we got up there!  Lexi and I are at a door with a sister,  this lady has small children that are very agile and run up and down this with ease, there are no railings and one small slip would be disastrous.  For some reason here they think you should go 3 to a door, and yes my hair is getting blonder and so is Lexi's,  the sun does it wonders.

The sister started a study here this morning!!
there are at least 3 washers up here and only 1 works!
Larry is down below with his two other companions.
This is where we buy our cooked chicken on a grill.  it is delicious.  Today tho it is our first stop in the ministry,  Gladys and her son Sammy are talking to a man waiting on a stump as we all pile out of our cars and start heading the direction we will work.
This is a typical view of the ministry on the colonia side of Puerto Morelos.
Again Larry with his companions,  yes people live in those areas that look undone! When they get the funds they will finish it, until then it is shelter!
A typical door starts out with "does anyone in the house speak english?"  if they do its Larrys door, if they dont the other brothers take turns talking.
Things are alittle different here, we all get to the territory together and basically stay together, not for safety, its just the culture,  it does not scare the householder a bit when we are all in a group.
This is a different day in the ministry, we are on the beach side.  Behind us is a beautiful fish gate.  It is welded pieces of iron... beautiful! No one home tho
Lexi is holding Tomico's daughter, she is going to the assembly today so Ron and Sharon are babysitting and Lex fell in love with her little girl, the feeling was mutual!
Here is a view of the assembly hall in Merida.
After dinner we went shopping (looking) and found a gem shop, we were thrilled to see this huge natural Amethist!  It is sooooo beautiful.
We are just a few blocks from the kingdom hall in Merida, ready for the pioneer meeting,  we met some sisters there staying in Isla Mueheras,  this is Cindy from Isla,  Sharon and Ron from Puerto Morelos, Lex, Larry and Lynn from Puerto Morelos.
Need some fresh veggies? Sharon and Ron didnt think so... this was an interesting part of town.
Here is Cindy from Isla, and Lexi from Puerto Morelos, and Wendy staying in Isla
They are sitting at the breakfast area in our Hotel,
Deloras Alba in Merida for the assembly.
Sharon and Lexi on our walk through downtown Merida,  very interesting.... we just kept going, didnt want to stop for very long.
Here we are at the "Let God's Name be Sanctified" assembly in Merida.  This is Ali, he is a bible study that came with us from Tulum.  The stage is beautiful, and yes this year we have air conditioning!!! Yay!
This gives you an idea of how the assembly hall looks inside... the chairs are comfortable.  There are no lights, except on the stage and emergency lights.  What you see is skylights, and it lights it up nicely.

There are large monitors strategically positioned around the assembly hall so all can see the speaker and the expressions on his face clearly,  the are also used for the baptism,  each person is able to clearly be viewed from the monitors, also they are used for sign language.  Here they are being covered after the assembly.

Another view of the stage... beautiful.
Here is an inside view of our hotel, it is an open courtyard with a canopy, the rooms are positioned around the outside... it is truly in the heart of the city... there is severe road construction and all the roads are one ways down town,  and our truck is large... it was interesting to say the least.  At night we thought it was Tokyo because of all the people... again interesting.
 Again inside the hotel lobby.

Larry and Bob from Playa Del Carmen Sur (South) in the Lobby.
A view of the swimming pool... our rooms were just behind the trees.
Here is Micah Neher as he stepped off the bus in Puerto Morelos...
Here Micah is catching his first meal...
another first... first night walk on the beach...beautiful night!!
 Yum!!
at the beach... Larry is just getting up from his extreme crash... poor guy... they have a board that skims the water... it is interesting and very hard.

Lex and Micah are watching and waiting for their turn,   Pio is enjoying playing with his dog.

Micah is just stepping on the moving board
Here is Micah's first Mexican break... and we get those only because we are waiting for some in our group to get back... by the way... it is hot!

A welcomed break in the shade.
We just had to get one with Ron in the hat!!

This ones for you Sharon! :-)

Home from Belize --

We are home for awhile now!! Yay!
Interesting moving in again tho...  its home sweet home again.

Lexi is keeping me on tract...no bad goodies.

Here are a few pictures from Caye Caulker with our good friends Nancy and Richard from Oregon.
We sure will miss them when they go home...

Here is breakfast on our first morning...this is Ali on Larrys Left...he is a bible study in Tulum, he will be riding with us to the circuit assembly in Merida in March.

Here we are waiting for the water taxi to take us from Chetumal to Caye Caulker, Nancy brought some snacks,  yummy guacamole and cream cheese with habinaro salsa,  yum...never thought the combo would taste soooo good.

Here is the Kingdom Hall in Caye Caulker, currently there is a spanish congregation, some english meet there but no english congregation, there is hopes that soon there will be an english group...there are 2 elders living next door...

Today  (Wednesday Feb 29) was our first day in formal service... and guess what??  Larry started an AWESOME study today... just in the door to door ministry... had our first study this morning...yay...set up for next wednesday...
She is in a wheel chair from a motorcycle accident and he is a doting husband, it is so sweet how he takes care of her so completely... they are from Guadalajara.

They are planning on going to the meeting on Sunday with us and then their second study on Wed., she was almost in tears when Larry showed her the scripture that says the lame one will jump up like a stag... what a JOY it is to be in Jehovah's service...

Here is the first English meeting to meet in the front of the hall in Puerto Morelos,  it was only the english Watchtower study but our first!!!

Here is the core Puerto Morelos Cong.
there are 5 visitors for the week on the right side, and one elder, Ben is taking the picture.

Here Ben is in the picture.

Today at the ocean in Puerto Morelos we found the cold water spring... it is a spring in the ocean...looked for it last year and couldn't find it...
Some one showed it to us today!!!

Beautiful, came accross a school of Baracuda...
kinda freaky... we just let them do their thing, we went the other way...have you ever seen their teeth?  YIKES...
