A Week in Beautiful Puerto Morelos Mexico

A Typical week in Puerto Morelos...
Morning worship on the beach as we watch the sun come up.

This includes:
 Coffee for Larry
 Tea for Lynn

Bible Reading, Daily Text together and  then it is up to each of us on our own  to finish by reading of the Watchtower and Awake, studying for the meetings or any subject of interest we have.

Here is Larry enjoying his first sips of coffee.

Here is the deck just outside of our place leading to the beach.

Now that we have the New Revised Version of the New World Translation in such an easy format from  JW.ORG ,  we use our tablets to do our bible reading and studying.

Here is a typical field service meeting at the town square in Puerto Morelos.
We meet at the square at 9am on Thursdays.
On this day a few from Playa Del Carmen came to work with us in the ministry.

Before service ends we put the new english calls into the data base while it is still fresh in our minds and we can recall exactly which house needs to be in the database.  Here are Larry and Brad Storehaug putting names and addresses in.

On our way home from service we ran accross  the Spanish group eating in a local resturant, Cantina Habanero , after service... so we stopped and had a great lunch with great friends.

We meet here for service on Saturdays at 9am.

We all now lovingly call the Suburban "the Beast"
it is generally our service rig.  It will seat 9... and that's legally with seatbelts!

We seldom fill it to capacity...

Here is after meeting for field service...

we had 13 out!!   A Great Crowd!!

After service a group of us went to lunch at a local restaurant in Puerto Morelos... a brother and sister have a shop next door so we stopped to say hi.

Lunch with an ocean view and good friends.

The perfect start to a new week... Public talk and Watchtower in Playa Del Carmen English...

Its a full house!
we generally have around 150+ in attendance

The Spanish Congregation in Puerto Morelos now consists of the Spanish first language speakers  from the English PM cong,  the Mayan congregation and the Spanish congregation.  They just had their Circuit Overseer visit... The Kingdom Hall seats 120... they had 198 in attendance!!!
No A/C!  The C.O. is now recommending that there be A/C.

A Beautiful Day in the Ministry

 Thursday October 31, 2013

Our first day in the Ministry at the Puerto Morelos Square.  Some from Playa, the Spanish hall and Puerto Morelos English.

Today is Tuesday  November 5, 3013.

Larry and I are taking our first street this morning.
I love going to the door with my pioneer partner and husband.
We had 5 in our cargroup:

Tim Hendricks
Mark and Missy Storehaug
and Larry and I

We have big red out... good thing, the potholes and water were horrendous!  It has been raining just about daily and certainly nightly,  the mangroves are full and everything is very green. It has rained fairly hard all day in Playa Del Carmen, yet it has been nice here in Puerto Morelos.
Still a beautiful day in the Ministry!!

Mark and Missy at a door.

Just an idea of how the roads are and the traffic.

Meeting in Playa Del Carmen tonight...
Looking forward to more spiritual food.

Beautiful Puerto Morelos!

The PERFECT beginning to our trip was going to the annual meeting in our home congregation and receiving our NEW Revised New World Translation Bible....

What a Special Gift!!  Thank you Jehovah!

Our 8 day trip through Mexico were quite uneventful... such a beautiful country. We did take the mountainous,  scenic route.

We did stay in a brand new hotel... we were the second guests to check in. It was lovely.

Here is a wonderful place we ate for breakfast, we spoke little spanish and she spoke little english,  for breakfast we received a chicken breast steak... no huevos...  it was delicious.

This one is for you Jo... the sunflowers were beautifully hand painted around the whole dining room... there was a garden scene with tigers and many animals all peacefully playing together.

It reminded us of how the new world will be like.

We have arrived home to Puerto Morelos!  While we were away there have been some changes.

We now go to Playa Del Carmen for our English meetings. The Public talk and Watchtower are Sunday at 10 AM (interesting adjusting to an AM meeting) and our TMS, BS, and SM are on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM.

Our main goal in the ministry is to find those who speak English as their mother tongue.  We are currently mapping our territory with new zeal... Looking particularly for those who speak English.
Our service group has 6 Regular Pioneers... Yay!  We still meet at the square on Thursday Mornings at 9am, Tuesday at 9am and Saturday at 9am.

We are told we are to get a witnessing cart... looking forward to it.

We stopped by to see Juan and Mildred... their little girl, Camilla,  is really growing.  Such a Beautiful little family.

Here is a picture of our new meeting place in Playa Del Carmen...

we are having the privilege of painting the interior today... it is a sunny beautiful day.

 Perfect day for painting...

Since there are 5 congregations meeting in the hall and there is to be a meeting at 6 this evening we are hurrying up to get it all accomplished and ready for the next congregation to enjoy their meeting with newly painted walls!!

Larry is doing such a wonderful job... :)

We have 4 Spanish and 1 English congregations meeting here... schedule, schedule, schedule!

There were two to a team... one to do the work
and one to clean up... guess my job.  :)

Here are a few from one of the Spanish Congregations to help ... we had about 16 to help paint.

Ron & April Curtis,  Goodland Ks Cong.
Larry & Lynn Williams, Playa Del Carmen Cong.

Here we are at the 2013 Memorial with some friends that visited from Goodland Kansas.
