Sunday March 27, 2016 marked the beginning again!

We are officially a new group.

Our meeting times are:
Sunday at 10 AM Public talk in English & Watchtower.

Thursday at 7 PM Theocratic school and Bible Study.

Our first official meeting in the front!

We meet at the Puerto Morelos Kingdom Hall
    two Spanish congregations
    one Mayan group
    one English group

Many have asked about the Ministry..

“THE harvest is great, but the workers are few. Therefore, beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:37, 38

It is as in any foreign field...there is much search work for english speaking individuals.
This truly is a pleasure.

More workers are always appreciated in the field...some come on vacation, some come for a few weeks, a few months and some come to stay.

Of course we have cart work...a blessing, there are several places we place the cart...
the Glorietta, the square and the Pier.

A Week in Beautiful Puerto Morelos Mexico

A Typical week in Puerto Morelos...
Morning worship on the beach as we watch the sun come up.

This includes:
 Coffee for Larry
 Tea for Lynn

Bible Reading, Daily Text together and  then it is up to each of us on our own  to finish by reading of the Watchtower and Awake, studying for the meetings or any subject of interest we have.

Here is Larry enjoying his first sips of coffee.

Here is the deck just outside of our place leading to the beach.

Now that we have the New Revised Version of the New World Translation in such an easy format from  JW.ORG ,  we use our tablets to do our bible reading and studying.

Here is a typical field service meeting at the town square in Puerto Morelos.
We meet at the square at 9am on Thursdays.
On this day a few from Playa Del Carmen came to work with us in the ministry.

Before service ends we put the new english calls into the data base while it is still fresh in our minds and we can recall exactly which house needs to be in the database.  Here are Larry and Brad Storehaug putting names and addresses in.

On our way home from service we ran accross  the Spanish group eating in a local resturant, Cantina Habanero , after service... so we stopped and had a great lunch with great friends.

After service a group of us went to lunch at a local restaurant in Puerto Morelos... a brother and sister have a shop next door so we stopped to say hi.

The perfect start to a new week... Public talk and Watchtower in Playa Del Carmen English...

Its a full house!
we generally have around 150+ in attendance

The Spanish Congregation in Puerto Morelos now consists of the Spanish first language speakers  from the English PM cong,  the Mayan congregation and the Spanish congregation.  They just had their Circuit Overseer visit... The Kingdom Hall seats 120... they had 198 in attendance!!!
No A/C!  The C.O. is now recommending that there be A/C.

A Beautiful Day in the Ministry

 Thursday October 31, 2013

Our first day in the Ministry at the Puerto Morelos Square.  Some from Playa, the Spanish hall and Puerto Morelos English.

Today is Tuesday  November 5, 3013.

Larry and I are taking our first street this morning.
I love going to the door with my pioneer partner and husband.
We had 5 in our cargroup:

Tim Hendricks
Mark and Missy Storehaug
and Larry and I

We have big red out... good thing, the potholes and water were horrendous!  It has been raining just about daily and certainly nightly,  the mangroves are full and everything is very green. It has rained fairly hard all day in Playa Del Carmen, yet it has been nice here in Puerto Morelos.
Still a beautiful day in the Ministry!!

Mark and Missy at a door.

Just an idea of how the roads are and the traffic.

Meeting in Playa Del Carmen tonight...
Looking forward to more spiritual food.

Beautiful Puerto Morelos!

The PERFECT beginning to our trip was going to the annual meeting in our home congregation and receiving our NEW Revised New World Translation Bible....

What a Special Gift!!  Thank you Jehovah!

Our 8 day trip through Mexico were quite uneventful... such a beautiful country. We did take the mountainous,  scenic route.

We did stay in a brand new hotel... we were the second guests to check in. It was lovely.

Here is a wonderful place we ate for breakfast, we spoke little spanish and she spoke little english,  for breakfast we received a chicken breast steak... no huevos...  it was delicious.

This one is for you Jo... the sunflowers were beautifully hand painted around the whole dining room... there was a garden scene with tigers and many animals all peacefully playing together.

It reminded us of how the new world will be like.

We have arrived home to Puerto Morelos!  While we were away there have been some changes.

We now go to Playa Del Carmen for our English meetings. The Public talk and Watchtower are Sunday at 10 AM (interesting adjusting to an AM meeting) and our TMS, BS, and SM are on Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM.

Our main goal in the ministry is to find those who speak English as their mother tongue.  We are currently mapping our territory with new zeal... Looking particularly for those who speak English.
Our service group has 6 Regular Pioneers... Yay!  We still meet at the square on Thursday Mornings at 9am, Tuesday at 9am and Saturday at 9am.

We are told we are to get a witnessing cart... looking forward to it.

We stopped by to see Juan and Mildred... their little girl, Camilla,  is really growing.  Such a Beautiful little family.

Here is a picture of our new meeting place in Playa Del Carmen...

we are having the privilege of painting the interior today... it is a sunny beautiful day.

 Perfect day for painting...

Since there are 5 congregations meeting in the hall and there is to be a meeting at 6 this evening we are hurrying up to get it all accomplished and ready for the next congregation to enjoy their meeting with newly painted walls!!

Larry is doing such a wonderful job... :)

We have 4 Spanish and 1 English congregations meeting here... schedule, schedule, schedule!

There were two to a team... one to do the work
and one to clean up... guess my job.  :)

Here are a few from one of the Spanish Congregations to help ... we had about 16 to help paint.

Ron & April Curtis,  Goodland Ks Cong.
Larry & Lynn Williams, Playa Del Carmen Cong.

Here we are at the 2013 Memorial with some friends that visited from Goodland Kansas.

This is on our way home... In Mexico we took a morning and visited the Coba Ruins.

This is the Puerto Morelos / Playa Del Carmen Norte Group that met up at the District Convention in Denver Colorado...

Some are from Colorado Springs (Spanish and English) Some are from Washington State...and us of course from Kansas.

What a Joy to be with our friends!

Here we are at the bottom of Coba... what a walk!! the Bridge behind us is stunningly beautiful and the waterfall is magnificent!!

We are so glad we took the morning to see Jehovahs beauty!

This is one of the first things we saw when we got back home in Kanorado Kansas...

The ingenuity of people is just astonishing!!

What a sight!!

Look who we found!!!

Our good friends from Mexico!!

New Puerto Morelos English Congregation!!

Puerto Morelos English congregation is official as of May 1, 2012.
There are now 3 congregations meeting in the hall: Mayan, Spanish and now ENGLISH!!

Our first Official meeting is to be on Saturday, the 19th at 4:30 pm.  We have been having the Watchtower in Simplified English since January but now we will have the full 2 hour meeting with public talks and our official night for the Theocratic Ministry School will be Tuesdays at 6:30.

We did not have a meeting here this week because we all were at the Special Zone Meeting in Cozumel!

We got the Watchtower at the Zone Meeting.

We are waiting in Line to get on the Ferry to take us to Cozumel for the Zone Visit...

I know I haven't written for awhile but service here has been awesome!

We have several studies that are thrilled to know what the bible really teaches and are progressing nicely.

Last year we hardly did any sight seeing,  this year we have done a few sight seeing things...here are some pictures of what we did locally.

Here is an abandoned resort...
it is huge and beautiful!

Someone said it is a hurricane disaster and due to red tape has not been able to rebuild or fix back up...it is beautiful, even empty.

Here was the theature.

 Girls and ....

                                                                                   Guys!

Dinner in Playa Del Carmen at Oasis with
Larry and Lynn,
Micah and Barry, and
Lexi

We had shrimp, calamari and fish taco's...yum!
Here we went to Akumal to see the turtles,  got off tract and did not see any turtles, but we had fun with the fish!

Here is Lynn on a study... Claudia is looking forward to the new world when she will get her lost leg back...

She plans on dancing when the music is played from the picture in the "Bible Teach" book showing paradise.

Her dream is to swim with sharks...she will in the new world!

We took a friend to the airport in Cancun...shut off the truck and it would not start again...the starter went out right then...oops...  Larry is under the truck replacing the starter...fortunately...Ron and Sasha were there to pick up Jonah and able to take the guys to a mechanic...us girls took the ADO home. The guys  ran across a man, a mechanic that they asked for directions from...he said he could fix our starter...we find out later (mags in his car) that he is a brother...he had just prayed to Jehovah for money that he needed for food and there we are...his brothers!!

We put on the fixed starter that got us by...and then bought a new one at Auto Zone the next day!! (as a spare)

While we were waiting us girls took pictures!!

We are at a congregation get together, just a little celebration for the start of our new congregation in english!!

 Karoke!!!

They are looking through the songs.

The kids were outside with what started as
waterbaloons that escalated to water buckets and then the water hose...they were soaked!!

 Its Larry's time to sing!!

Micah Neher and Taylor Trone are singing the mens part and Marisol is singing the ladies part on Phantom of the Opera.
We are on the Ferry waiting to get going to Cozumel for the Zone Visit!!

Such a beautiful smile Lexi!!

Not all but most you can see are our brothers!!

We are ordering breakfast in Cozumel...
There was something going on politically...we had
red shirts, pink shirts and green shirts running all around...we got out of there just as the big band was starting out...yes!!

This is the first seat we tried out...we move several times before we were set finally...we actually all sat somewhere far apart....interesting!!

I am here holding the program...we are soooo thankful we were one of the 8 congregations invited to go!! Can you see it on my face?

This is where Larry and I landed finally...see the big fan...do you see why?

There was an open side and fans ... no a/c.

It was all in Spanish...except Anthony Morris talk...
Fortunately we sat next to Marisol and she translated for us!!! Yay..

Thank you Marisol!!

Its only half full by this time!
